Healing Should Feel Good.
Repair, recover and glow with red light therapy in the heart of Lakeside.
Welcome to the Light
At Light Being Wellness, we believe looking after yourself shouldn't feel like a chore. It should feel like a treat.
Your body already knows how to repair, recover and restore itself. Red light therapy simply helps it along, a little faster and with a little more ease.
Tucked away at 461 Main Road, Lakeside, our studio is a warm, unhurried space where you can finally slow down, switch off and let the light do its work.
What Is Red Light Therapy?
Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation (PBM) or low-level light therapy (LLLT), uses specific wavelengths of red light (630–660 nm) and near-infrared light (810–850 nm and 960–1060 nm) to gently stimulate your cells. It's non-invasive and painless. Most people simply feel a soothing warmth.
-
The light is absorbed by the mitochondria, the tiny energy centres inside your cells. Research suggests this can help your cells produce more energy (ATP), improve local blood flow, and switch on the body's natural repair and anti-inflammatory processes.
-
During your session you'll lie on a PEMF mat, which uses gentle pulsed electromagnetic fields. Many clients find it deeply relaxing, and in our experience the combination of PEMF and red light is especially helpful for sleep quality and everyday aches and pains.
-
Twenty Minutes That Are All Yours
Lie back. Settle onto our PEMF mat, which uses gentle pulsed electromagnetic fields to relax and ground the body.
Let the light in. Seven wavelengths of red and near-infrared light (two red and five infrared) reach deep into your cells, where the good work happens.
Walk out glowing. Many people feel a difference after just one session, especially in how they sleep and how their body feels.
Eye covers are provided for every session, because our lights are powerful.
Benefits of Red Light Therapy
Glowing skin:
Supports collagen for smoother texture, improved elasticity and softer fine lines. It may also help calm redness and breakouts.
Easing aches and pains:
Research shows promising results for knee, back, neck and joint discomfort.
Healthier hair:
Supports fuller, thicker hair in some types of thinning.
What the Light Can Do for You
Faster recovery:
Eases post-workout muscle soreness and helps you bounce back from a long week, a hard training session or an injury.
Deeper sleep and a brighter mood:
Many clients tell us they sleep better, feel calmer and think more clearly.
Inflammation support:
Red light therapy has been shown to help reduce inflammation, calming the body from the inside out so it can repair and recover more easily.
THE SCIENCE, SIMPLY
Inside every cell are tiny powerhouses called mitochondria. Red and near-infrared light gives them a boost, helping your cells make more energy, improving blood flow and switching on your body's natural repair processes.
It's non-invasive, gentle and completely painless. Most people describe it as a soothing warmth.
Also known as photobiomodulation (PBM) or low-level light therapy (LLLT), red light therapy is one of the most widely researched wellness treatments available today.

Client Reviews
Life changing! Red light and the PEMF mat at Jennifer's studio has shifted so much of my menopausal symptoms like the joint pain for me... but most importantly my chronic insomnia is gone! After 4 sessions I am finally sleeping right through the night, and good sleep means more energy in the day. I give Jen's "med bed" my highest recommendation.
I'm not one to feel much effect from therapies usually, but the benefits here were absolutely clear from my very first session. A week-long hip injury that had me hobbling improved by 90% by the time I walked back to my car, I could hardly believe it. In general it felt like a reset on a cellular level, helping me take charge of my health again after letting things slide for months. On top of that, the space is skilfully set up and beautifully curated. Jennifer is a star.
I have felt real benefits from my first month of red light therapy. My sciatica has reduced significantly, my skin feels glowy and my quality of sleep has improved. The space Jenny has created is warm and cosy and I love the feeling of the grounding mat she uses together in combo with the red light therapy.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Everyone is different. Some people feel a difference after the first session, while others see results build over a few weeks. Regular maintenance sessions help keep the benefits going.
-
Yes. More isn't always better. Red light follows a "biphasic dose response," which means too much can reduce the benefits. That's why we recommend a session every second day.
-
Red light therapy is very safe. Some people notice mild, temporary redness, warmth or dryness, which passes quickly.
